In Stintino, in the north of Sardinia, there is a place that speaks of history, tradition and conviviality. A place where the sea, with its precious gifts, reigns supreme. This place is Ristorante Lina. With its views of the sea, enjoying a meal here is a real pleasure, accompanied by Stintino’s many traditional specialities and their interesting reinterpretations rooted in the chef’s extraordinary creativity.

Fished just a few kilometres off the coast of Stintino, seafood is the undisputed star of our dishes, inspired by the local tradition.

We draw from our past to offer traditional Sardinian dishes whose evocative flavours are sure to grant authentic emotions.

Cosy and homely, our sea-view dining areas are ideal for a pleasant meal with friends and family.
Our story dates back to 1967, when Signora Lina decided to put her passion for Stintino’s cuisine to good use by setting up a restaurant bearing her name. Later, she turned the helm over to her daughter Caterina who, in turn, in 1996 turned it over to my father, the restaurant’s long-standing waiter.
Today, I, Nicola, am in charge of this small piece of our city’s history!
Today, in continuity with our predecessors, we seek to preserve the gastronomic traditions of Stintino and to bring them, unaltered, to you. The dishes are those of our cuisine, along with some new, must-try recipes.
Simple, flavoursome, and particularly characteristic of this wonderful corner of Sardinia, Stintino’s cuisine weaves the stories and lives of the local fishermen and their families.
Our counter displays the catch of the day: many specialities from which to choose your favourite fish. Our seafood cuisine is paired with inland specialities such as several delicious meat dishes.
We respect our land’s traditional recipes and use nothing but locally sourced vegetables to preserve their authenticity. The result is a cuisine that speaks of skilful hands and authentic gestures, of culture and tradition, of stories past and present.
Fancy a journey into the most authentic traditions? Then do not miss out on dishes that tell the story of our land.
The Gran Misto Lina includes no less than 12 hot and cold seafood starters that change weekly depending on the catch of the day. Fancy a surprising first course? You’ll be spoilt for choice! The best-loved include Conchigliette Lina (sea shell-shaped pasta served with smoked cow’s ricotta, clams, saffron, Pecorino cheese and chilli pepper), spaghetti with mullet or tuna bottarga, and fregula pasta with seafood, creamed and enriched with clams, calamari, mussels, prawns and bottarga.
At Ristorante Lina, dishes are at once history, culture and tradition, particularly the tuna tagliata with seasonal vegetables, the octopus Stintino-style and the Chef’s mixed seafood soup. And if seafood isn’t your thing, succulent entrecôtes, tender fillets and tasty tagliata are ready to win you over!
Then, for a sweet end to your meal, try our delicious Seadas, deep-fried semolina dumplings with honey or sugar, or Stintino Tumbarelle, a typical dessert from our own home town, made with fried pastry filled with fresh ricotta, orange zest and walnuts, and served with a generous sprinkling of icing sugar!
Cosy and homely, our restaurant’s minimalist style calls to mind traditional atmospheres of yesteryear. This is underscored by an array of perfectly restored tools once belonging to the local fishermen, displayed in a setting marked by a harmonious and characteristic embrace of whites and blues. The veranda, overlooking the old port of Stintino, offers a view that is nothing short of magnificent! In fine weather, it is possible to enjoy a pleasant experience in the outdoor dining area, right on the sea. A charming place for a perfect lunch or dinner with your loved ones!
Located in the far north-west of Sardinia, Stintino is a tiny jewel set between crystal clear seas and unspoilt nature. Born as a fishing village in the late 19th century, it still retains the authentic charm of its origins, offering visitors an experience that combines history, tradition and scenic beauty.
The undisputed star attraction in Stintino is the La Pelosa beach, considered one of the most beautiful in Europe, with its snow-white sand, its clear, shallow waters ranging from turquoise to deep blue, and its historic Torre della Pelosa.
The town also offers picturesque viewpoints, such as the Old Port, the beating heart of Stintino, where you can still breathe in the atmosphere of a traditional fishing village. Here you can see the town’s typical “gozzi” boats and admire the nets laid out to dry in the sun.
Stintino epitomises the harmonious coexistence between man and nature, in a place where time seems to flow more slowly and every sunset over the sea leaves an indelible memory.

We were at the restaurant for dinner. The place is very attractive and well-kept. We ordered two starters, marinated swordfish carpaccio, which was very fresh, and steamed mussels with pepper. Fabulous. Then we asked for a plate of seafood spaghetti, which were just perfect… well-seasoned and with fresh, tasty seafood… the spaghetti were delicious and “al dente”. We continued with an equally tasty Mediterranean-style tuna steak. The portions were generous, and the staff very courteous. Good value for money! We highly recommend it.
I went for lunch with a friend and we had a great time! They served us quickly and the food was excellent! We had a mixture of unusual starters, such as calamari in a balsamic vinegar cream with walnuts and radicchio, cuttlefish with a broad bean cream and Grana cheese shavings, and a scorpionfish parmigiana! Then, we had the fabulous Conchigliette Karalis! Delicious!!! The waiter was very efficient. He chose the dessert for us, which was an amazing molten chocolate cake served with an excellent glass of Moscato wine! A stop here is a real must!
Ristorante Lina deserves nothing less than a 5-star review. The staff is friendly and professional, the courses plentiful and delicious, the desserts amazing, and the food in general excellent value for money. I had a fish-based meal and was extremely satisfied!
A traditional restaurant serving excellent, ultra-fresh fish. We went two nights in a row as we ate so well the first time. The seafood fregula pasta, seabream and lobster Catalan-style were all excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views from the terrace overlooking the sea are spectacular. Excellent value for money.
Delicious dinner, lovely location overlooking the marina. Exquisite dishes, fresh fish and white wine actually served at the right temperature! Very friendly, helpful staff. There were six of us and we had inland starters, as well as fried calamari and steamed mussels with pepper. Then we had seafood pasta, and we finished up with myrtle sorbet. I highly recommend this restaurant. BTW, the Vermentino was excellent!
One of the top restaurants in Stintino. The menu is excellent, as is the food and service. Wonderful starters and first courses, wide choice of wines, delicious desserts. The staff and the owner are extremely friendly. We were treated royally. I can’t fault the place. Congratulations. We will definitely be coming back.
